Freida Heidt Shaw
February 22, 1931 - March 11, 2013
Freida Heidt Shaw, 82, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2013 at Hospice House in Savannah. She was born on February 22, 1931.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert E. Heidt and Josie Ulmer Heidt; her grandparents, Lewellyn Heidt and Emmaline Helmey Heidt who raised her. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie L. Shaw.
She is survived by her daughters, Jan Pool Owen and Cynthia Pool; son-in-law, Larry Luther; her grandson, Andrew Drew Elliott, all of Savannah; her sister, El Louise H. Cone; her nephew, Jason Cone; 2 great nieces; 5 great-great nieces and nephews, all of North Augusta, SC and a host of cousins.
She was a member of Montgomery Presbyterian Church, Savannah, GA.
A memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m., Monday, March 18, 2013 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
Interment will take place at 2:30 p.m., Monday at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Marlow, GA.
